Sometimes you only require a quick meeting to catch up with all the team. You don’t require a lot of whistles and bells or additional nonsense tools.
MeetingBurner’s free edition, Mac or PC, for as much as 15 participants comprises screen sharing along with also a phone-in line. MeetingBurner Screen Sharing
Based on Flash and Java, MeetingBurner requires only a few minutes to set up, and you as organizer get a dash from which you can adjust settings (there aren’t too many), schedule a meeting, or just launch one immediately. The service gives you a customized URL (yourname.meetingburner.com) and telephone number to share with participants. A MeetingBurner URL enables you to share your display.
You begin by running a Java applet that produces a tiny control window where you can specify whether to share the whole screen, a program, or a custom area. It is too bad that participants see a grey rectangle in the region covered by the control window, however you can move the window around so it does not conceal important information.
If you talk about your entire screen, participants may see a navigation bar with information about you according to your settings, the title of your meeting, the dial-in number, and a chat window (if you’ve approved one). You also receive a list of participants, and MeetingBurner lets you create any among them the presenter–though that person must download and operate the screen-sharing applet.
Drawbacks? MeetingBurner’s interface is cluttered and not always intuitive.
More to the point, the free version does not permit you to record the proceedings. To record a meeting and share that record, you must subscribe to the 40-per-month MeetingBurner Guru (for as many as 50 participants) or the $100-per-month Premier variant, which supports up to 1000 users also adds analytics to the mixture.
